Digital Comms Planning Lead (Contract)

Greater London Contract / 4 Months £300 - £400 per day

I’m currently working with a fantastic FMCG client who are looking for a media, digital and integrated comms strategy within the UK.

Critical to this role is to build/share best practise and develop activation plans to deliver against brand and campaign objectives.

A successful candidate will need to help brand directors identify opportunities to drive growth, inspire agency partners to deliver integrated campaign ideas and align plans, whilst driving synergy and efficiency across the category team, BU and media & connections community.

  • Develop multi-year integrated campaign strategies, considering must win territories and key initiatives for long term success, working closely with broader marketing teams and agencies
  • Partner with marketing experts across Europe providing guidance, guardrails and strategies to enable them to succeed in their given markets defiing clear KPIs, across paid, owned and earned
  • Partner with media partnership teams to drive scale across the media planning, buying and content launches
  • Share best practice and new findings across Categories and Media & Connections COE; including but not limited to opportunities to lift and shift best practices, social media content synergies, cross-market agencies, store media and innovative technologies and other media implementations
  • Partner with insights and digital team to define common measurement approach including scorecards, tools for ROI & equity measurement and the relevant KPIs and benchmarks
  • Deliver clear reviews of activity performance vs. plan and define future recommendations to optimise / improve media/campaign performance
  • Agency & budget management to deliver on time & in full
  • Lead creation and management of websites and social pages, inline with overarching plans
  • Manage relevant media partner relationships, linking up closely with media agency to unlock added value benefits and innovation opportunities
  • Encourage senior management to think holistically when developing marketing communications by continually communicating a consistent vision and strategy, showcasing opportunities, plans and results

Functional:

  • 5 years of relevant Connections Planning (integrated communications planning) experience, building new brand launches through media/digital and offline
  • Strong digital marketing skills and expertise with media plan optimisation, working with parnters to scale activations
  • Commercial – demonstrate that they value commercial results with examples of ROI and analytical skills – create robust analysis and meaningful insights to drive actions and highlight opportunities
  • Project management – ability to manage multiple projects in a fast moving and ever changing environment with maturity and foresight to cope with input and changes, sometimes at the last minute
