This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Communications, Events and Marketing professional to join an exciting Venture Capital firm in a Maternity Cover role based in London.

About the business

My client are an entrepreneurial venture capital firm based in London, focused on finding, funding and supporting exceptional founding teams at seed stage.

They have an existing portfolio of c.40 businesses and are always looking to invest in incredible founding teams.

They have an opportunity for an experienced Interim Events and Comms manager to join our team whilst their current goes on maternity leave.

About the role

This is an exciting role with the ability to impact the success of both Episode 1 and the portfolio of businesses.

You will split your time over:

  • Delivering our communication goals
    • Support our brand positioning, including website and brand messaging, delivered through a refined communications strategy and improved communication tools
    • Promotion of our their key offerings, with a broader array of experts and improved logistics and organisation
    • Development, in conjunction with the team, of an overall messaging architecture and communications plan driven by content and thought leadership
    • Ownership of the client’s PR strategy and cadence of information flow to relevant stakeholders
    • Delivery of their weekly newsletter and delivering on the growth of an engagement strategy via social media
    • Manage and create blog content
  • Co-ordinating relevant events for our community

    • Manage and plan the signature community events – the AGM, summer party, CEO and CTO dinners
    • Organising, promotion and communication of our thematic and social events across the entrepreneur ecosystem
    • Driving attendance for all events and coordinating logistics
  • General Office Manager duties

    • These are changeable but could include:
    • Managing office related enquiries
    • Maintain office supplies
    • Manage external suppliers i.e cleaner/ building manager/catering if required
