Head of Digital Marketing – Airline Industry – Manchester

The Role

As the Head of Digital Marketing, you will be responsible for the development and execution of the groups digital marketing strategy across all digital channels, to deliver against traffic, bookings and KPIs. Additionally, you will help create the commercial strategy to help deliver against agreed revenue targets.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for delivering Group web sales and commercial targets
  • Work closely with Group Revenue Management teams to align online trading plans for each market and brand, in line with Group pricing & route strategies
  • Develop and execute Group marketing strategy across all digital channels, and lead the digital marketing team to optimise activity against agreed web KPIs (traffic, bookings, conversion and cost per booking)
  • Develop and execute Group CRM strategy, in line with GDPR, to increase ancillary sales and improve re-booking rates from existing customers. Work alongside data teams as necessary to ensure communications are relevant, personalised and timely
  • Ownership of Group marketing budget – setting budgets and targets by digital marketing channel; reconciling and relocating on a monthly and quarterly basis based on the attribution strategy as defined in conjunction with the Group Head of Analytics
  • Ensure all Group digital marketing agencies are fit for purpose & delivering against targets. Lead with procurement to enhance SLAs/pitch for new business as necessary
  • Managing a team of 5 across SEM, Social Media, eCRM, Affiliate Marketing and Content and Merchandising

Experience/Qualifications

  • Track record of delivering commercial success in an eCommerce environment

  • Track record of effective and efficient budget management

  • Significant marketing experience gained client-side as part of an ecommerce team

  • Experience in leading a client-side digital marketing team

  • Highly numerate, with strong attention to detail

  • Self-reliant; takes accountability and responsibility

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Bi-lingual (German & English)
