Head of European PR – £80-110K plus Bonus – London

My client is one of the brand’s to watch in their space! With their consumer tech focused platform, they are changing the way people transact. in 2017 and with over 1000 employees globally, the attention is now on the European growth and their new London office.

As the expansion plans are underway, they need an advocate for pr brand building, exposure and communications for Europe, who will help their position for the UK and beyond as the ‘go to’ for their space. As Head of PR (or Director potentially), you will have had experience of building out a European PR Operations and Strategy within a client side Consumer Tech platform. Not only will you have to build the strategy from scratch; but also establish, nurture and manage agency relationships.

Main Job Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the company’s public image and processes for press releases and propagation to media
• Build rapport with local tech, industry related media, both traditional and digital
• Select appropriate media according to respective strategic purposes and coordinate media events
• Drive PR strategies and processes internally
• Manage an extensive agency partner portfolio across multiple geographies
• Maintain an understanding of the region’s relevant news, trends and communities
• Hopefully seldom (if at all), but crisis management experience may also prove a key element.

Key Skills and Experience:

• Minimum of 6+ years of professional PR where you MUST have had recent client-side experience from a consumer technology related industry
• Agency PR background prior to client-side would also be advantageous
• Experienced in media interaction and relationship development.
• Proven leadership experience
• Strong comprehension ability in finance and technology related topics
• Passion or experience for FinTech is a strong plus.
