The Company

My client is an innovative sports brand with a global presence. They are active across Europe and growing fast. If you are into sports and want to be a key figure in driving the growth of this sports brand and increasing its exposure across global markets, then this is the role for you!

Communications and media management are critical growth drivers for them, with paid media representing a significant proportion of the total marketing budget. Effective deployment and efficient execution of media investment and optimisation of ‘media ROI’ are key to building the brand and driving an ambitious growth agenda. This is a key hire with overall responsibility for paid media planning and buying across all of the global & local marketing.

Main Job Responsibilities:

· Drive, develop and implement the paid media strategy with a strong focus on online media

· Lead 360 local market paid media planning, co-ordinating insight from the local teams and media agency

· Implementation and optimisation of paid media campaigns across OOH, PPC, display, programmatic, video, retargeting and paid social

· Manage & lead the global media agency and be the key interface

· Be the overall budget holder for paid media and recommend where we invest our paid media budget and the optimum media mix

· Work closely with the Regional Marketing Managers to ensure creative assets are assigned to the media plan

· Alongside the Marketing Director & the Head of Editorial be a champion for the overall brand story/strategy

Key competencies and experience:

· Strong media background (preferably in an international role) in media agencies or client side

· Proven track record in communications/media planning and delivering strong ROI driven paid media campaigns

· Experience of transactional media buying at a global/local level within agencies and or media vendors

· Experience in multi-country media dealings

· Good negotiation ability

· Deep experience in communication channels planning, digital paid media and good experience working in traditional ATL paid media

· Experience managing a 8-figure media budgets

· Multi-tasker. Must be able to fight fires while simultaneously doing 3 other things

· Proficiency in English and potentially one other language
