THE ROLE

As the Marketing Manager for this sports publisher, you will be owner and guardian of all things marketing, from planning to executing. You’ll focus on integrated marketing campaigns, from radio to print, to digital and social media. Working alongside planning, media and creative teams, ensuring the high standards expected with the brand continue for its readers.

KEY CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES

• Ability to lead conversations with editorial teams on all digital properties and secure buy-in to integrated products and marketing plans
• Understanding and experience of using a variety of marketing and communication techniques
• Experience in managing budgets and assessing activity effectiveness
• A deep knowledge of and experience in the media industry and the KPIs related to the industry
• First-class communication skills
• Good negotiation and relationship skills and an ability to operate within a matrix environment with multiple stakeholders

RESPONSIBILITIES/OBJECTIVES

• Be a key player in the planning process and delivery of marketing plans
• Lead digital marketing plans, brand and promotional messages during marketing campaigns
• Across both marketing and editorial teams, creating marketing activities and managing the day-to-day activities which support the total sales, circulation and brand goals
• Lead discussions with BI, using data and brand tracking to better understand reader interaction and drive sales and further engagement
• Constantly manage both internal and external stakeholders, and all processes in driving on-going effectiveness of campaigns, including regular performance review and budget
