THE ROLE

  • Support the corporate affairs team to deliver a proactive and impactful communications plan that ensures the company is building a positive reputation with media and influencers, showcasing the brand as a responsible, innovative company with business momentum and strong tech for good credentials
  • Proactively seek out, identify and develop opportunities that will help tell our corporate story
  • Help ensure the business is informed about key stories, developments and issues affecting business units, and that the team is proactive in ensuring the brand makes an appropriate and impactful contribution where possible
  • Work with colleagues in the corporate affairs directorate, around the business and with external agencies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintaining forward planning calendars
  • Prepare and help manage media enquiries and responses, working closely with external agencies as required
  • Take ownership of monthly reporting
  • Ensure team materials are shared and maximised
  • Work with the Content Writer and the Marketing team to ensure corporate twitter and social media channels engage the audience and amplify the corporate message, devising cost-effective plans to boost activity where appropriate
  • Monthly review of corporate website (copy and images) to identify opportunities to develop and update
  • Responsible for compiling evidence for, and drafting award entries
  • Compile briefing packs for spokespeople
  • Ensure corporate imagery and assets are available to support the company narrative, and are used appropriately
  • Manage production of assets – press releases, infographics, etc
  • Assist the internal communications team.

Please ONLY apply if you possess the following:

  • At least 3 years’ experience of working in a PR agency, and/or had an in-house PR or communications role in technology
  • The ideal candidate will be an intelligent team player with first rate written and verbal communication skills. You will like problem-solving, able to show tenacity, flexibility and initiative. Someone that gets their sleeves rolled up and gets stuck in. Someone who is highly organised and has excellent attention to detail, is interested in the development of the internet, and has a good nose for a story that will resonate with media.
