I am excited to be partnered with one of the world’s biggest cryptocurrency exchange platforms as they search for a Public Affairs Lead. Reporting directly to the senior leadership team this is a newly created role with the expectation of you implementing their Public Affairs function from scratch. You will offer industry knowledge and be seen as a trusted advisor to the wider business. You will have full ownership over developing and implementing a public affairs strategy with a particular focus on government relations. This is a standalone role so hands on experience is essential. The ideal candidate will have experience within financial services and/or technology industry.

Key responsibilities:

• Solid experience and contacts in the Government and Public Affairs sector
• In charge of the revenue growth and optimum profitability for the Government/Public Affairs department.
• Actively engage in business development and pursue new business opportunities by developing, growing and maintaining UK or European government accounts (Tenders and Contracts)
• Oversight of account planning, work quality, client relations, product/service offering, and strategic development
• Sets the tone to create a spirit of teamwork, enthusiasm and high quality, and be the guardian of best practice

Key requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and/or PR and Communications
• More than 10 years of experience working in Public Affairs/Government accounts
• 5 year’s experience in tech/finance or fintech desirable.
• Experience in building a department and strategy from scratch.
