SEO Content Manager (Contract)

Salt has partnered with a leading Digtal Agency who are looking for an SEO Content Editor / Manager to support in their SEO teams.

The role will come in to support remotely before they hire a permanent member of staff. The Content Team is the primary point of contact for all content queries relating to SEO, forming a key part of multi-disciplinary client portfolio teams delivering SEO campaigns to groups of clients.

Responsibilities:

• Write, edit, optimise and proofread web content for high-profile national and international clients, working quickly and efficiently to deliver against deadlines

• Execute work based on SEO best practices, building on SEO writing skills

• Understand clients’ business and competitors in order to produce competitive content that performs strongly

• Liaise with team members on a daily basis to discuss projects, tasks and workloads

• Assist in content auditing on an as-needed basis

• Assist with ad hoc projects and administrative work as requested by Head of Department or team leader

Experience Needed:

• Flawless command of written English

• Experience in writing long-form English language copy to cover a variety of markets ie American English

• Experience in writing content for a variety of industries

• Experience in writing copy guided by SEO best practices

• Proficient in writing metadata (e.g. page title tags, meta descriptions, alt text)

• Strong editing and proofreading skills

• Professional writing experience demonstrated through published clips (either online or in print) and/or copywriting examples/portfolio

• Experience in writing content for regulated industries

• Knowledge of Google best practice guidelines for content / metadata (e.g. string lengths)

• Familiarity with Google Sheets & Google Docs

• Working knowledge of HTML

• Basic photo editing skills
