Technical Seo Specialist ( Contract )

I am currently working with a top retail business, who are transforming their business to provide better digital consumer experiences through data. This company are a market leader, and give great brand exposure for anyone interested in retail.

They are looking for an expert in technical SEO who can support the market in achieving SEO and accessibility objectives, while seamlessly linking brand content creation with development practices that drive better performance in search.

The right candidate will have hands-on experience with multiple CMS platforms, as well as an in depth knowledge of back end implementation practices and a history of working directly with developers.

Responsibilities:

• Perform full SEO site audits across all brands in the market, using crawling, analytics and consumer behaviour tools.

• Identify and resolve technical SEO issues and own the implementation process

• Educate brand teams on the importance of SEO best practices, page load speeds and accessibility.

• Manage a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, from developers to directors.

• Stay on top of new SEO trends and create recommendations that keep content and platform following evolving best practice

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in technical SEO

• Must have a proven track record of working directly with developers

• Proficient in digital analytics platforms (e.g. Google Analytics, Search Console, Adobe, Decibel, Screaming Frog etc.)

• Knowledge of multiple CMS platforms (e.g. AEM, WordPress etc.)

• Have a good working knowledge in HTML, CSS & JavaScript, and other back end programming languages as they relate to SEO

• Experience implementing more advanced SEO technical changes, including structured data, localisation, load speed optimisation and AMP content

• Experience managing stakeholders and communicating with people with a broad level of knowledge, from low to high

• Prior agency or consulting experience is preferred
