Reconciliation Specialist

A FinTech global payments platform is seeking an exceptional Reconciliation Specialist to join their new offices in Amsterdam.

This represents an opportunity to get in at the ground floor and join an award winning, agile business on its rapid growth trajectory. Since starting out in 2012, our client has grown to 150 people and attracted $61m in investment – opening offices in Amsterdam is the latest step in their journey.

The role sits within the Treasury & Control team, who ensure our client always has the right amount of money, in the right currency, in the right place, at the right time.

The role

  • Execute all daily reconciliation and control processes to identify, investigate and correct any abnormal transactions
  • Execute daily FCA/DNB safeguarding tasks (client money segregation and reconciliation)
  • Execution of internal transfers/trades for commissions, profit/losses, changes, etc.
  • Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve Treasury and Control processes
  • Resolving daily issues impacting customers’ experience

What skills and experience do I need?

  • A recent graduate – desirable qualifications include maths, finance and accounting
  • Experience working in reconciliation and control processes in international payments
  • High level of numeracy and analytical nature
  • Meticulous and thorough approach
  • High level of organisation with an ability to cope under pressure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent teamwork and comfort working in a startup environment.
  • A passion for payments, financial services and technology
