Europe Permanent / Perm Up to €50000 per annum + bonus

My client is a global leading provider of gift card solutions to the world’s most exciting retailers. With more than 25 years of industry experience globally, their team of professionals has cultivated expertise in Retail Gift Cards, Promotional Cards, Mobile Interactivity and eCommerce solutions.

I am working on a retained basis for an Account Manager to oversee and build on accounts in the DACH region. In this role you will be the primary client services contact responsible for relationship building, client retention, client satisfaction and sustaining client revenue growth of their assigned accounts. You will also be expected to influence the up-selling strategies within the assigned account base, driving territory revenue to exceed sales goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development of a close relationship based on mutual trust and respect, understanding needs of the client and delivering the company’s services to meet those needs in a commercially focused environment.
  • Development and execution of a client service delivery strategy for assigned clients around needs, contract specifications and cost components.
  • Understand and manage contract expiration and presenting solutions in advance to retain relationships. Monitor and manage the terms and conditions of a client contract, including timely resolution of outstanding invoices.
  • Conduct regularly scheduled calls, presentations and on-site client visits to review business performance including training and education.
  • Ensure a collaborative and partnered relationship with all internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience required; we are looking for somebody who has at least one year of commercial experience, preferably within account management and a proven track record of successful year on year revenue growth within client portfolio. Sales experience is essential.
  • Passionate about delivering high client satisfaction with an ability to adapt to different client cultures.
  • Multi-lingual to support our European clients; fluency in German and English is highly necessary.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving skills, presentation skills and attention to details. Project management skills highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, ability to conduct onsite presentations and effectively facilitate meetings. Excellent consultative approach involving great active listening skills and questioning skills.
  • Able to think out of the box and is action-oriented. Can easily pose future scenarios; can identify and present opportunities based on client’s needs. Able to deliver difficult information to clients in a positive, constructive way.
