Sales Account Manager

My client is a market leader within the mobile marketing space and they are looking for ambitious Account Managers to join the growing commercial team.

You will work closely with the new business sales team to deliver to your clients and help them achieve their business goals. You will be required to spend at least 1 day a week on site with a client. Travel to other customers is also a requirement.

Account Manager

  • Develop in depth understanding of the sectors to refine the proposition to the client/prospect and feedback into the product roadmap
  • Deliver proactive account management by providing business solutions to clients. Identify, progress and report on new commercial opportunities.
  • Generate sales leads through attending industry events, working with telesales, outbound marketing activity and other techniques.
  • Present products and services to clients and prospects, specializing in the Messaging, Payments and Mobile CRM core offerings
  • Provide creative ideas on how to optimise user interactivity, engagement, conversion and ROI with a focus on commercial results
  • Fully understand the client’s business in order to develop optimised mobile user-journeys
  • Make commercial proposals with input from other relevant teams and achieve order completion by negotiation and deal closing tactics
  • Support the execution of a range of mobile interactive campaigns for clients, including competitions, SMS donation appeals, SMS text-responses, targeted CRM and payment solutions
  • Display organizational skills, in order to demonstrate efficient and timely coordination of task required of colleagues in global and local teams
  • Assist in creating an environment of teamwork and continuous improvement
  • Playing a positive and supportive role as a member of the team

Skills and experience required

  • Demonstrated ability to self-plan, carry out and report on activities based on a set of provided objectives
  • Educated to degree level
  • A proven track record in at least one other significant career role with client-facing experience for handling account activities or project management
  • High level of presentation skills and confidently able to present materials for sales meetings with ability to identify opportunities and progress discussions
  • Strong practical knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • People skills – will be expected to lead account management activities, work with internal personnel and with Director-level clients on a regular basis
  • Technology / SaaS customer facing experience

Skills and experience ideal to have…

  • Experience in mobile or digital space working with small to large corporate clients is a bonus
  • Knowledge and/or experience of CRM and Mobile Marketing initiatives
  • Knowledge of Mobile Payments or Messaging applications is a bonus
  • Digital technology or marketing experience strongly desired but not essential
