A European payments FinTech are on the cusp of explosive growth. They received funding of €15m in 2018 to propel them into new European territories and are looking for field-based Business Development Managers to join them in the Leeds area.

Currently, the business has 200 employees throughout Europe, 10+ employees in the UK, but they’re set to expand to 120 in just the UK by the end of 2019.

The business provides payment services including acquiring, e-commerce payment gateway solutions, digital wallets and issuing services. This is an exciting stage of growth within Europe; they’ve recently opened up offices in London and Belgium with further expansion planned throughout Europe.

The field-based Business Development Manager will be reporting into the Country Manager, tasked with sourcing new business opportunities, meeting with prospective clients and closing business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling and networking;
  • Attending meetings booked by telesales team
  • Prepare presentations and solutions to prospective clients at meetings
  • Prepare proposals and negotiate/close deals
  • Maintain relationships with clients by providing support
  • Prepare sales orders & quotes, produce frequent reviews and reports with sales and financial data
  • Identify product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.

What they’re looking for:

  • 2 years proven experience as a sales representative in payments industry (ideally)
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • A results-driven approach and strong self-drive, along with the ability to work under pressure to achieve sales targets
  • Valid driving license
