Business Development Manager

Greater London Permanent £40000 - £50000 per annum + OTE

Our client is a business information platform enabling SMEs, large organisations and even tech start ups to make strategic decisions. The information collated on the platform allows business to find opportunities as well as mitigate risks across 40 million companies across 9 European countries.

The role of a Business Development Manager will involve reaching out for new business opportunities through business development targeting start-ups to large enterprise clients. This will involve selling a suite of products to key decision makers within these organisations, so experience selling and closing deals at this level is crucial.

Supported by a team of Sales Development Representatives, the Business Development team are also provided ongoing training enabling the best possible results to win new business accounts.

Our client has reached a stage of growth just beyond a start-up, whilst maintaining a start-up culture of having core values (team spirit and grit) and great office space in Central London. They’re also backed by three heavy-weight venture capital firms.

Key responsibilities:

  • Attending meetings booked by sales development representatives to close business
  • Providing consultative solutions to new business clients across suit of business information products to C-level executives and key decision makers in SMEs to large corporate clients
  • Negotiating and closing deals
  • Reporting to Sales Manager on pipelines and working collaboratively with the team

What are they looking for?

  • 5 years sales experience in SaaS sales, technology sales, business information sales or business intelligence sales
  • Experience selling to financial services is highly desirable
  • Experience working in a team e.g. working with other internal departments such as marketing, finance and product
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Demonstrable track record in exceeding targets
