An early stage London based FinTech are looking for their first Business Development Manager to join the team. They provide passwordless login and payments for e-commerce merchants by using just their face or fingerprint.

Announced as one of Barclays Techstars, backed by heavy weight payments industry board members and led by the former CTO of a worldwide payments business, this is once in a lifetime opportunity to join and become a pivotal member of the team.

Riding the wave of Open Banking, their solution allows merchants to transact directly with consumers creating the opportunity to significantly reduce merchant processing fees.

The role of Business Development Manager will involve proactively sourcing merchants within the gaming, travel and e-commerce sectors. You will also be involved in preparing presentation and RFPs.

Responsibilities:

  • Working closely alongside the product, marketing and overall team
  • Prepare presentations and RFPs for potential clients within gaming, travel, e-commerce
  • Present in person or remotely
  • Working closely alongside the CEO and founders
  • Acting as the voice of the customer for feedback on product
  • You will own and define the sales processes and materials to enable commercial success. Product & marketing will support you on key messaging and roadmap
  • Build partnerships across channels (acquiring & issuing)
  • Close the deals with merchants (and partners)

Experience:

  • 5+ year’s experience in business development/sales
  • SaaS sales experience selling to ecommerce, retail, travel would be ideal, but not essential
  • Self-starter – as a small team, you will need to get going without much backup
  • Adaptable to demands of a changing role
  • Keen to lead efforts in driving sales
  • Managed and enjoyed building small teams
  • Aspires to build a global team

What they’ll offer you:

  • Salary between £50-60k dependent on experience + comms, options
  • Opportunity to be a first key hire in a growing exciting start-up
  • Based in stunning WeWork offices in Aldgate
