In the lucrative industry of EdTech are my client who to spearhead their international growth and are looking to make their first sales hire out of Malta to penetrate new markets across the globe. Currently their portfolio of clients includes schools and educational organisations in the UK, Europe and South East Asia.

This is such an essential hire for this business and carries not only amazing earning potential, however, the opportunity to build an international sales team.

What we’re looking for? To grow the UK Sales team and kick-start international expansion.

To support their plans for such growth, we’re searching for an ambitious business development professional who ideally has SaaS experience in a start-up environment.

Sold into schools, colleges or universities? Even better.

Day-to-day

  • Working closely with the CEO to implement a sales strategy and grow your territory.
  • Research and establish relevant prospects within education organisations
  • Creating and nurturing a sales pipeline that includes prospects who have a complex process to becoming a supplier or provider.
  • The ability to stay close to prospect clients that aligns with a complex sales cycle and multiple stakeholders.
  • Supported by a junior salesperson, an inbound sales system you will be responsible for closing the deal.
  • Promote the platform through extensive online awareness, calls, emails, LinkedIn & other communication
  • Be an ambassador through networking and promoting at industry leading events.
  • This role covers both new business and account management, once a new partnership with a school or educational organisation has been secured you will work closely with them to grow and retain the account.

The ideal candidate

  • 2-5 years’ experience within an inside sales or business development capacity
  • A real hunter that understands a longer sales process and new territories
  • Proven track record or experience in demonstrating a product or service
  • A technical aptitude preferred
