Business Development Manager – Market Intelligence

Base Salary: £35,000 – £45,000

Expected OTE £15,000 -£20,000

This role sits within a dynamic part of a newly formed businesses unit in one of the country’s most reparable companies. This area has had significant growth as of late, with this trajectory set to continue. This growth is subject to an increasing demand within the market, great products and a fantastic sales and Economic research team. Due to all these factors, we are looking at expanding the team even further.

This specific role will focus on working new business development within the construction and professional services markets.

The successful candidate will have a fantastic, supportive team to ensure that we collectively achieve our team as well as individual targets. We are a truly cohesive area that work towards a single aspirational goal-to be number one in the Market Intelligence industry.

About you

  • Enthusiastic and passionate with a real drive to deliver credible work

  • sales background would preferably be from a Data/B2B environment
  • A winning personality

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Proactively nurture and develop a portfolio of clients
  • Take long term responsibility for new clients, adding value by recommending potential solutions supported by internal experts.
  • Identify and uncover new business opportunities through a variety of sources (CRM/Website/LinkedIn)
  • Attend new business meetings with the aim of closing and delivering new market intelligence /economics sales
  • Collaboration with colleagues across Consultancy, Product Development, Analytics and Client Services to deliver successful outcomes for our clients and for their customers
  • Achievement of sales target and delivery of new contracted revenue to help grow the Economics business

Qualifications

Educated to degree-level or equivalent is preferred

Knowledge & Experience

  • Have experience in account management or new business development with a strong track record of performance.
  • Be able to spot and assess clients’ needs and lead the creation of compelling client propositions and solutions.
  • Outstanding networking and communication skills with the ability to work well within a team, effectively utilising internal resources to achieve results.
  • Experience of consultative selling, ideally within data, software, analytics or consultancy solutions
  • Excellent presentation skills
