The Company:

My client is one to watch in the German payment market space. We’re looking for a high performer to join the team either in Frankfurt or working from home with an entrepreneurial mentality who will be part of the European eCommerce team, whilst also working closely with the local German sales team. They are looking to hire an eCommerce Technical Sales consultant who will work closely with the eCommerce Sales Manager from lead to close by providing technical knowledge in pitches.

The Role:

  • Demonstrate strong market knowledge of the eCommerce space
  • Engage with product teams to help drive strategy based on market requirements
  • Support local Partner team in development of eCommerce leads from ISV’s, bank partners, etc.
  • Support the eCommerce Sales Manager from lead to close, by providing the relevant technical knowledge in pitches to existing and prospective clients
  • Design payments solutions for clients, including multi-national corporates
  • Work closely with the eCommerce Sales Manager to define an appropriate Go to Market strategy for eCommerce in Germany
  • Work closely with the local sales teams to help increase levels of eCommerce knowledge
  • Provide eCommerce training to relevant teams as required
  • Identify value-add services for prospects, ensuring that they will maximise eCommerce conversion
  • Assist the eCommerce Sales Manager with the end-to-end sales cycle, including cooperation with various internal teams, such as boarding, credit & risk, etc.
  • Identify business opportunities based on knowledge of clients, markets, products and services
  • Develop profitable new business account relationships
  • Assist with responses to RFI’s and RFP’s
  • Travel as required

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in a relevant field
  • 3 years’ experience in the Payments Industry and Financial Services Industry, preferably eCommerce
  • Passion for innovation and emerging technology

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Experience in a client facing role selling and/or supporting complex enterprise software, technical or financial services
  • Strong eCommerce knowledge and technical understanding
  • Strong negotiation and decision-making skills
  • Strong consultative sales skills
  • Creative deal closer
  • Ability to listen actively, understand complex requirements and devise customised solutions
  • Ability to build strong pipeline with profitable opportunities
  • Solve complex needs and work across internal teams including risk, operations, product etc.
  • Relevant network is a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Excellent marketing and business development/sales skills
