The Role

Thanks to continued growth and success, a new opening has arisen for a first line Sales Manager to lead both the financial services and public sector verticals from their London office The sales team are responsible for closing deals through telephone and webinar sales. Thanks to an excellent marketing function and channel network, much of the business is generated through incoming warm leads.

Responsible for a team of 1-2 to start with, key responsibilities will include:

  • Growing the team to 5-6 over the course of this year
  • Track and be accountable for overall team revenue number and productivity
  • Coach, support and train your team in sales methodologies
  • Work with your team to identify new opportunities and develop targeted sales pitches
  • Inspire, lead and create a positive and high performance culture and sales environment
  • Own your teams metrics & performance, ensuring accurate data is recorded on Salesforce and report upwards as appropriate
  • Recruit and build an awesome team of sales executives

Your Profile

The successful Sales Manager will naturally have a proven aptitude for sales and high performance cultures and will most likely bring the following skills/experience:

  • Proven experience leading a fast-paced sales team as a Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, Head of Sales, Sales Team Leader or similar
  • Experience working for a SaaS business, technology organisation or media sales business selling into enterprise customers; previous experience selling into financial services and/or public sector would be beneficial
  • You are an advocate for numbers and metrics in managing a sales floor and can intelligently identify areas for improvement
  • Ability to inspire trust and confidence in order to coach and develop your team
  • Prepared to go the extra mile and get the job done under pressure
