We are looking for a high-performing Business Development Manager to join a mainland European FinTech payments business to grow out their presence in the UK market in the Greater Manchester area. The role will involve attending meetings set by the telesales team to sell the suite of payment solutions and to close the business.

Founded in 2000’s over in Greece, this is an exciting stage of growth within the UK having received £10m in funding in 2018.

The Business Development Manager will be reporting remotely into the Country Manager (UK) who is based in London. Our client is due to undergo a further significant round of funding in March 2019 in £m’s to drive their international expansion. With this, progression within the business will be significant due to growth.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Actively source new business opportunities through cold calling, warm leads and networking
  • Attend meetings and close new business accounts
  • Prospecting new business via channels such as LinkedIn as well as utilising existing network
  • Booking self-made appointments with merchants within retail, e-commerce, hospitality

Your profile:

  • 3+ years of sales experience
  • Experience within payments ideal
  • Track record of sales success through winning deals and consistently overachieving or meeting targets
  • Understanding of the complexities and ability to navigate a solution-focused partnership agreement to small and large organisations
  • Dynamic and engaging written and oral communication
  • High attention to detail with the ability to simultaneously manage competing priorities
