The Company

Salt are leading the search for an Inside Sales Rep for a market leading data visualisation software (SaaS) business that enables their clients to uncover valuable insights to make better decisions about the environment and the energy challenges.

The role:

We’re looking for extraordinarily talented individuals as Sales Development Representatives who are interested in building a career in software and technology. This fast paced role of the Sales Development Representative will involve providing pre-sales product and solutions support, qualifying all incoming and outbound new business opportunities, and distributing qualified leads to appropriate Sales Executives. You must be a self-starter and have the ability to convert a large volume of leads into qualified opportunities for the Sales Executive team.

This is a brand new function for the business and as such they are looking for a fast learner with commercial experience in sales and marketing. Targeted and paid on qualified appointments, you can use a mix of marketing campaigns to drive customers to you as well as some targeted approaches. Your creative approach to lead generation will be the key to the success of this role – it’s not just about cold calling these days – you will bring your entrepreneurial led approach to create messaging, content and stories to inform your market and feed your sales funnel! Responsible for Europe, Middle East and Africa – you will need to be organised and driven and should have a keen interest in technology and the potential environmental uses for it.

This role is based 5 days a week at the company’s offices in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire.

Your Profile:

  • Experience in a similar role for SaaS platform: Sales Development Representative, Inside Sales, Account Development, Market Development, Business Development Rep
  • Research target companies online in order to pre-qualify as sales opportunities
  • Demonstrate the value propositions of our products and services
  • Manage a high volume of leads in Salesforce.com to accurately and efficiently process all opportunities
  • Excel at qualifying each opportunity properly to ensure the right level of follow through and commitment
  • Schedule deep dive discovery calls for the sales team
  • Follow up on various marketing campaigns and events with the goal of sourcing qualified opportunities
