IoT Sales Strategy – Online/Ecommerce
My client are a leading technology business, with over 400 million customer globally. They have been consistently innovating their focus on emerging technologies, and the Internet of Things (IoT) has been playing a vital part in that. They are now seeking a senior-level IoT Sales Manager Online/Ecommerce for their Consumer IoT team, based out of their central London office.
Responsibilities:
- Define a strategy for creating new, indirect online sales channels for the businesses B2C Connected Products.
- Execute strategy for digital sales channels, with targets to secure strategic partnerships with online distributors/etailers on a global scale.
- Drive sales performance into etailers/ecommerce platforms to maximize sales revenues for Consumer IoT products and services.
- Optimise spend in ecommerce retailers, such as Amazon, Argos, Alibaba etc.
- Provide relevant sales insight to the business, acting as SME for ecommerce platforms in the Consumer IoT team.
- Proactively seek out ways to improve the achievement of business goals, such as changes to digital strategy.
- Encourage the expansion of the online distribution of connected products through global regions, starting with Europe before progressing to APAC, Americas etc.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong end-end ecommerce expertise, and familiarity with digital marketing practices.
- Consumer Electronics or Consumer IoT background preferable, with knowledge of taking digital products through indirect online sales channels. Alternate could be the same in FMCG.
- ‘Hands on’ new business sales experience, including securing large, strategic partnerships with etailers/ecommerce platforms, and running end-end processes.
- Strives to be customer-centric, fast-learning, autonomous, and high-achieving in all roles undertaken.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, preferably with experience navigating large, complex organisations with multiple P&L’s.
