As a local hero with global scale, the aim is winning direct relationships with customers and partners while offering a carrier-grade platform for world-wide message delivery.

The business is continuously looking to expand and are experiencing a time of huge growth, therefore I need somebody to join this dedicated team immediately.

Carrier Relations Manager – Messaging

The focus of this role will be on managing our existing A2P (mobile network operator) MNO relations and finding synergies with connections from the wider group. There is also the need to expand direct coverage with new MNO connectivity. This position is focused on MNO carrier relations & procurement.

Core tasks:

  • Supplier strategic business development: defining market strategies & insights relating to product functionality and roadmap
  • Establish and maintain clear procurement strategies and guidelines, working in conjunction with commercial, operations, finance and legal department
  • Carrier procurement & interconnection where new carriers are required to extend service coverage
  • Managing existing agreements with MNO partners for direct interconnection and termination of wholesale business to maintain and expand footprint & relationships according to strategy
  • Contract Management responsibility for AA.19/AA.60 and/or IR 21 agreements from identifying potential leads in accordance with Sales and negotiating agreements right through to the operational implementation
  • Negotiating SMS Interworking tariffs and termination charges with suppliers
  • Drive cost saving initiatives by implementing innovative commercial models
  • Achieve short-to long-term plan to decrease cost of sales and cost of service
  • Identifying growth opportunities with existing and new carriers as well as understanding customer requirements, their buying criteria and identifying appropriate solutions.
  • Procurement of new number ranges from country regulators or carriers.
  • Managing and negotiating legal carrier compliance to requirements both internally and externally
  • Attending and representing the Company on GSMA and other relevant industry conferences

Your expertise includes:

  • You must have previous experience in a similar role (SMS/Telecommunications industry is highly beneficial)
  • BSc/MA in Business, Management, Telecommunications, Engineering or any other equivalent degree
  • You thrive on building relationships with new & existing partners
  • As we are acting internationally you must be fluent in English
  • You present products and ideas with ease, confidence and persistence and interact successfully with decision makers
  • As a pro-active communicator you are a shining example for dedication and entrepreneurial mindset
  • You love to tackle challenges, negotiate and deliver results
