Partner Development Manager Payments

A reputable Fintech global payments platform is seeking a Partner Development (new business) Manager to join their growing team based in Mayfair, London.

This role is an exciting opportunity to delve into the world of Alternative Payment Methods (APMs), to join an award-winning business that is leading the way in electronic payment infrastructure. Having recently raised $50m of investment from a US based payments business – their growth story continues – hence the need for a superstar to further accelerate growth with future Partners.

The sales team is expanding and we’re looking for a talented Business Development Professional to help drive new business wins. As the Partner Development Manager in London, you will not only work with the local sales team but will also interface with multiple departments around the world, especially APAC and the US.

With 8 global offices and a workforce made up of more than 30 nationalities, you are joining a truly compact global business with a common purpose; to deliver the best payment infrastructure in the world.

Your Responsibilities

  • You will win new payment partnerships across the EMEA region as well as creating additional revenue streams through innovative thinking
  • You will manage, develop and convert Payment Service Providers or acquirer/processor opportunities and aiding in their growth and development
  • Fully utilise the CRM system to maximise your contribution to the business
  • You will fully embed the solution into the fabric of the Partner, creating, strengthening and building the relationship for longevity and success. You will develop connections with decision makers that will create opportunities over the short and long term, ensuring the trust is built and maintained.
  • Develop partner plans for the efficient handover of accounts to the Account Management team on a quarterly basis
  • Identify and nurture key influencer relationships within the partner organisation
  • Provide sales training and sales support to the partner as and when appropriate

About you

  • At least 4-5 years successful sales experience in the payments industry (preferably in the APM space), building and developing relationships with existing customers or partners
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience in engaging and influencing senior executives.
  • Naturally persistent and tenacious, always following up and seeing tasks through to timely completion.
  • A team player – Must be able to collaborate, contribute and lead in a high calibre sales team and across the business, coordinating the appropriate resources to meet varying client requirements.
  • Understanding of cultural differences in doing business with international colleagues and customers.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions.
  • Perfect written and spoken English skills; fluency in other languages (especially French, Spanish, Italian) is an added bonus
  • Smart, hungry, resilient and willing to ‘get stuck in’.
