Business Development – Liverpool / North West

A European payments FinTech are on the cusp of explosive growth. They received funding of €15m in 2018 to propel them into new European territories and are looking for field-based Business Development Managers to join them in the Liverpool area.

Currently, the business has 200 employees throughout Europe, 10+ employees in the UK, but they’re set to expand to 120 in just the UK by the end of 2019.

The business provides payment services including acquiring, ecommerce payment gateway solutions, digital wallets and issuing services. This is an exciting stage of growth within Europe; they’ve recently opened up offices in London and Belgium with further expansion planned throughout Europe.

The field-based Business Development Manager will be reporting into the Country Manager, tasked with sourcing new business opportunities, meeting with prospective clients and closing business.

Key responsibilities:

• Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling and networking;
• Attending meetings booked by telesales team
• Prepare presentations and solutions to prospective clients at meetings
• Prepare proposals and negotiate/close deals
• Maintain relationships with clients by providing support
• Prepare sales orders & quotes, produce frequent reviews and reports with sales and financial data
• Identify product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.

What they’re looking for:

• 2 years proven experience as a sales representative in payments industry (ideally)
• Previous experience in banking sector and Card Terminals is a great plus;
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office
• A results-driven approach and strong self-drive, along with the ability to work under pressure to achieve sales targets
• Valid driving license
