POS Alliance (Partnerships) Manager

Europe Permanent / Perm €70000.00 - €90000.00 per annum

I’m currently seeking an Alliance (Partnerships) Manager for one of my clients which is one of the largest POS & e-commerce payments acquirer and processor across Europe. The core purpose of this role is to win, maintain and expand relationships with POS Partners and Value Added Resellers (VARs) across Germany and you will ultimately be responsible for achieving sales, profitability, and partner cooperation objectives. This is a fantastic opportunity for somebody who has POS sales experience and would like to develop their career in a company with a strong and determined plan to grow their market share in Germany.

Key tasks:

  • Establish productive, professional relationships with key stakeholders in assigned partner accounts and reseller markets.
  • Coordinate the involvement of additional departments (cross functional), including sales, customer service and management resources if necessary, in order to meet partner performance objectives and partners’ expectations.
  • Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned partner accounts.
  • Proactively assess, clarify, and validate partner needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Sell through partner organisations to end users in coordination with partner sales resources and maintain a direct and strong client relationship in the Key Account segment.
  • Manage potential channel conflict with other sales channels by fostering excellent communication internally and externally, and through strict adherence to channel rules of engagement.
  • Lead solution development efforts that best address merchant and partner needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary departments.
  • Participate on trade fairs and conferences to enhance relationship and personal network

Necessary qualifications:

  • University degree in Business Economics or comparable commercial education
  • Minimum of five years of sales experience B2B sales
  • Sales environment, preferably within the payment industry
  • Self-motivated and goal oriented, able to handle stressful situations and failure
  • Strong sales orientation – driven by results – and commercial awareness
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Fluency in German and English
