A well-established technology organisation with roots in Denmark who continue to successfully grow their operations and customer base across the Nordic region. With a customer-first ethos, the organisation has a strong heritage in the financial services industry and is now expanding their offering to other industry verticals. Partnering with advanced software solutions from customer experience to fraud prevention to AI, the business is now actively searching for their next strategic commercial hire to join the team at an exciting stage in their growth.

The Role

The Sales Director is firstly a strategic sales role with a focus on winning new business (70% hunting/30% farming), with additional responsibility for overall commercial activity in the business, leading a small team in sales and marketing:

  • Hunting: prospect to build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, running the full sales cycle to ensure that revenue targets are met and over-achieved
  • Farming and key account management: increase the company’s footprint and build larger deals across the full product and services portfolio in key accounts
  • Utilise known sales methodologies to understand the objectives and needs of customers and then develop solutions through the company’s offerings
  • Immerse yourself in the company’s sales processes, quickly getting to grips with products and services to understand the objectives and needs of customers and then develop winning solutions through the company’s offerings.
  • Collaborate with partner organisations to build trust and excellent relationships in order to achieve common goals
  • Research and understand the market including competitor analysis
  • Management of the commercial team including sales executives, pre-sales and marketing

About You

The successful Sales Director will most likely bring the following skills and experience in order to be successful in the role:

  • Proven success of over-achievement in enterprise sales roles: demonstrated success identifying and winning opportunities in the €500k to €2m range
  • A natural ability in executive-level selling to strategic customers
  • Ability to sell to multiple stakeholders at executive and C-level during long and complex sales cycles
  • Previous experience selling to financial services/banking customers would be advantageous but not essential. We welcome applications from candidates with experience selling value driven software solutions in any industry who are willing to take on a new challenge
  • A passion for problem solving and constantly improving sales knowledge
  • Good technical understanding and excellent presentation skills
  • A passion for enterprise software and digital transformation; a strong sense of drive and urgency, you are also excited to work in a team-oriented environment collaborating with colleagues across the region
