Client Support Engineer

Overview

This is an awesome client who is pioneering the use of machine learning in the prevention of e-commerce fraud, recently having received a 2nd round of funding, they’re embarking on further growth! They are looking for a core member to join their Integration Engineering team, in order to help lead clients through the integration process, so that customers are able to extract the best possible performance from their product suite. Well-supported by our internal data engineering, machine learning and fraud analysis teams, your team is the glue that connects the business with its clients.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the client’s payment flow, and work with various teams to make integration decisions that will lead to the best performance for the client
  • Proactively carry out regular data quality checks and data wrangling throughout the integration process
  • Working directly with client engineering teams to assist with support issues or queries regarding any aspect of the service – these can range from data analysis requests, to queries regarding general fraud trends
  • Be a problem solver – getting a client integration across the line often requires getting two very different systems to work with each other
  • Stay ahead in client communications to manage expectations
  • Be the bridge between clients and other internal engineering and technical teams

Requirements

  • Proven ability to run an end-to-end integration process
  • Customer relationship and interpersonal skills
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Self-motivated and ability to prioritise
  • Experience of interacting with RESTful APIs
  • Data analysis, especially BigQuery/SQL, with the ability to clearly communicate the results
  • General understanding of web and server technologies, including HTTP and JSON
  • General understanding of web payment flows and the parties involved (gateways, 3DS)
  • Scripting skills (Bash, Python)
