The Company

A rapidly-expanding, growth stage, start-up founded in Paris are looking to add real quality to their Pre-Sales function in the UK. Recently named as one of the most innovative e-commerce technologies in the world, offering an in-depth look into how consumers are using and engaging with their platforms.

Through recent expansion, and the hire of 2 new sales executives, a need for additional pre-sales consultant has opened. Following their recent round of Series B funding of £20m, the buzz around the UK office is exceptional, making it a great environment to breed a rewarding culture!

The Role

As a Pre-Sales Consultant you will be responsible of working closely with the Sales and New Business team on advancing sales opportunities through your exceptional technological knowledge of the platform. You will be supporting an end-to-end UK sales processes, supporting productivity and deal flow by securing the “technical close”. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background with the ability to design and communicate solutions from a commercial perspective.

This is an exciting role to work with enterprise clients within the retail and ecommerce sector, among other fast-growing industries. This will include some work for US projects!

  • Qualifying a client’s needs based on driving factors and a business’s pain points.
  • Identifying and putting together a trusted solution based around the products the business can provide their client.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients and prospects, in order to work closely with their clients on their businesses requirements.
  • Work with Account Managers to define value and provide in depth propositions and project delivery.
  • Active participation in scoping and executing client Proofs of Concept (POCs).
  • Collaborative working with internal teams (technology, logistics, professional services, etc.) to help design and communicate best-fit solutions.
  • Understand and participate in performance management processes.
  • Work with Delivery Consultants to design ad-hoc, innovative solutions.

The Candidate

The successful Senior Pre-Sales Consultant will possess the following skills and experience:

  • 3+ years experience in solutions consulting/ sales engineering for complex enterprise solutions, more specifically within eCommerce.
  • Strong relationship building and client facing skills.
  • Graduate level of a 2:1 or above, ideally in Computer Science, Maths or a Business discipline.
  • Understanding of web based applications and SaaS technologies.
  • Logical approach to delivery and working on clients requirements, to realise how they align with the company’s current proposition.
  • Have worked previously on global requirements with eCommerce outlets and large retailers.
  • Good understanding of the SaaS market, Ideally within data solutions.
