Salt are partnering with this business to build a candidate pipeline for once they resume hiring over the course of the next month or two.

A BI platform that supports businesses to explore, analyse and share-real time analytics data easily. With a most recent investment of over $220m, growth is paramount over the next several years, most prominently in emerging markets such as the Nordics.

The Role

They are looking for a true presales leader in BI and Data Analytics, who has the ability to pitch, strategise and optimise successfully with enterprise brands around their Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing and Analytics needs.

You will be leading the technical sales efforts across the Nordic region. You will be the trusted advisor for an ever-growing portfolio of prospective clients, demonstrating real value at the core of the solution throughout the sales cycle. It is important this person can work proactively and adapt to a challenging environment, supporting the rapid growth within a relatively young market.

  • Qualifying a client’s needs based on driving factors and a business’s pain points.
  • Identifying and putting together a trusted solution based around the products the business can provide their client.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients and prospects, in order to work closely with their clients on their business’s requirements.
  • Work with Account Managers to define value and provide in depth propositions and project delivery.
  • Active participation in scoping and executing client Proofs of Concept (POCs).
  • Collaborative working with internal teams (technology, logistics, professional services, etc.) to help design and communicate best-fit solutions.
  • Understand and participate in performance management processes.
  • Work with Delivery Consultants to design ad-hoc, innovative solutions.

The Candidate

The successful Senior Sales Engineer will most likely bring the following skills and experience:

  • 4+ years’ experience a Solutions Consultant/Presales/Sales Engineer position within the BI and Analytics space.
  • Hands on experience with database technologies and SQL, as well as knowledge of Linux.
  • Ability to adapt to a challenging and continuously moving environment.
  • Strong focus around being able to deliver value to your client base through demonstrations, pitches, and solution delivery.
  • A passion to serve the customer and genuine interest in sales processes, with client-facing experience, ideally sales engineering or customer support.
  • Collaborative team member, with the ability to work on their own.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Experience working on enterprise deals within the Nordics region.
