Sales & Market Development Director – Poland & CEE

Cheshire Permanent / Perm €80000.00 - €90000.00 per annum + Benefits

The Director Sales Poland coordinates and actively wins, maintains, and expands relationships with our partners and suppliers, to ensure a sustainable and significant expansion of my client’s position in Poland. He/she supports the Head of Mass Market who reports to him. He/she expands business in the market by attracting new partners, connecting new products to our merchant portfolio and expanding our reach to Key Accounts and Terminal Re-seller business. This role is much more than “Sales Director”, you will steer the entire operational and business aspects of the business across Poland and the CEE regions.
Tasks:

  • Manages the Polish market activities (Direct-Sales/Telesales, Digital Sales and Sales Force Mass Market, explore chances in Key Account Merchant segments etc.)
  • Develops the Market and drives the defined sales strategy incl. digital sales and campaign management
  • Establishes a productive and professional attitude in the Sales team
  • Coordinates and ensures sales performance on the basis of continuous staff coaching and controlling
  • Establishes and controls productive and professional workflows
  • Sells to end users and resellers and ensures and maintains a direct and strong client relationship in the merchant market
  • Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volumes and strategic objectives in assigned segments
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on a regular and ongoing basis and develop the resulting necessary strategy and actions
  • Manages potential conflicts with other sales channels by fostering excellent communication internally and externally, and through strict adherence to channel rules of engagement
  • Participates on trade fairs and conferences

Accountabilities and performance measurements:

  • Achieves assigned sales targets in the market segments
  • Meets assigned expectations for profitability on the basis of a valid, weekly updated sales pipeline
  • Maintains high merchants and staff satisfaction ratings
  • Adheres to internal policies, competencies and SLAs
  • Completes required training and development objectives within the assigned time frame

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Business Economics or comparable commercial education
  • Minimum of five years of management experience within the payment or telecom industry
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • Self-motivated and goal oriented, able to handle stressful situations and failure
  • Strong sales orientation – driven by results – and commercial awareness
  • Excellent motivation skills to drive Merchant market and partners
  • Fluent in Polish and English

Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Hands on leader who will maintain ethics and values based on strong leadership skills
  • This position requires extensive travel and a full clean driving license
