Sales & Marketing Director – UK Technology Start-Up

The Company

A UK-based technology software start-up who are ready to launch a ‘first-of-its-kind’ reporting tool dedicated to corporate social responsibility. With increasing CSR rules and regulations in 2018 the business is set to rapidly grow and acquire a large number of enterprise customers across the UK & Europe. As such, they are now looking to hire their first dedicated commercial leader focussed on sales and marketing activities.

The Opportunity

Joining the small team at an early stage in their growth, the Sales & Marketing Director (or Commercial Director) will ultimately be responsible for acquiring new customers whilst also playing a key role in the overall sales strategy:

• Create, develop and own the sales and marketing strategy for the business
• Prioritise customer acquisition targets and subsequently lead business development efforts
• Play a key role in creating sales collateral (case studies, success stories, references, best practice guides)
• Represent the company at key networking events to generate new business opportunities
• Determine ROI on lead generation channels and prioritise accordingly

The ideal Sales & Marketing Director will bring a mix of the following experience:

• Senior level sales & marketing experience at growing technology businesses with a primary focus on sales & business development activities
• Proven success engaging with and selling technology or subscription-based solutions to corporate and enterprise level customers
• International experience selling to multiple stakeholders across regions and growing new territories from scratch
• An interest in or knowledge or corporate social responsibility or sustainable development could be beneficial but not essential
• Excited by the opportunity to work for a start-up tech business with ambitious growth plans
