VP Sales Southern Europe – IoT

Location: Italy (home-office)

Salt are supporting an early-stage, well-funded Internet of Things (IoT) start-up as they seek VP Sales for Southern Europe, Northern Europe, and Western Europe to join their team. They have a unique IoT offering utilising technologies such as NB-IoT and eUICC and are seeking passionate Sales leaders to help them drive new-business within their region and develop a team of motivated sales professionals.

Responsibilities

• Utilise network and knowledge within IoT space to win new-business partnerships in Southern Europe, with an emphasis on Utilities/Energy, Asset Tracking & Logistics, and Smart City markets.
• Report to C-Level/Founder of business and have significant impact on the strategy of the business as they rapidly expand internationally.
• Establish sales processes, using Salesforce to keep track of sales pipeline and ongoing Business Development activities.
• Build a team of new-business sales professionals within regions covered (Italy, Spain, Portugal etc.), with hiring starting during the first three months of joining.
• Motivate, train, and manage new sales team once on-boarded.

Requirements

• Senior-level sales experience within IoT, with a solid understanding of the IoT ecosystem and network within this market.
• Leadership of sales team in previous role, ideally with experience in building a sales team or sales practice from scratch.
• Ability to work autonomously from home-office, with regular travel to customer sites.
• Motivated, self-starter attitude.
• Passionate about IoT, and eager to be involved in the development of a new start-up to help it become a market leader.

Location: Home office Italy, plus travel where required in Europe
Salary: Flexible, depending on experience
