Acquiring Application Manager – Senior

My client is a European leader in the payments and transactional services industry whom delivers new-generation services, enabling its customers to offer smooth and innovative solutions to the end consumer. This company offers a unique and flexible business model built around a global and growing portfolio, thus enabling end-to-end support. The merchant services department are looking for an Acquiring Application Manager, a technical expert where you can use your technical knowledge to look into changes of the processing platform or services by ensuring the continuity of the operational business.

Your role & responsibilities

• Act as the acquiring champion of the Operations division within the company and have an in-depth understanding of the acquiring processing chain
• Liaise on a day-to-day basis the technical teams, that deliver the acquiring services to the company
• Act as a single point of contact for Acquiring topics internally
• Operationally responsible for quality, availability and robustness of the acquiring processing services
• Take a leading role as representative in operational and tactical governance meetings
• Participate and represent Operations during major incidents and crisis management
• Assist line management with gathering, understanding and taking informed decisions
• Escalate any unresolved issues
• Prepare monthly performance reporting and assist the Ops management with monthly reporting for executive management
• Assists line management with deploying the process and the related supporting tools; adapt wok instructions for his/her country and/or activity domain; assure process adherence within his country and/or activity domain
• Assists line management with process and control maturity assessments
• Measures the performance of the implemented process in his/her activity domain, with process performance responsible

Your skills & competences

• You have an understanding of payment industry and payment flows
• You have the ability to acquire a good overview of the acquiring processes, technologies and governance of the company
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization (written and verbal, in German and English).
• Team player able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move toward common goals
• The ability to visualize and create high-level models that can be used in future analysis to extend and mature the business architecture
• Experience in business modelling processes using a variety of tools and techniques
• The ability to act as liaison transmitting information needs of the business to IT and other data constraints to the business
• You possess strong situational analysis and decision-making abilities
• You are able develop your own network of people & build professional relationships
