Job Description and Summary
My client uses Hybrid cloud infrastructure platform using one or more technologies like Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware ESX, Openstack, IBM, Azure and AWS to host their customer’s application services and workloads in the cloud
The Domain Architect will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the architecture within the Cloud Infrastructure that includes designing solutions for IAAS/PaaS/SaaS on hybrid cloud platform, supporting the existing business processes.
Whilst a deep technical role, this role also offers opportunity to engage in customer interaction to comprehend the customer requirements and suggest the best architecture solution for the new as well as existing clients and help them with initial set up and deployment of the new solutions.

The Domain Architect will report to the Head of Infrastructure Architect, with a functional reporting line to the Enterprise Architect.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead the design for Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure solution. The candidate should be proficient I the following:
o Create documentation around the solution proposal, design and implementation
o Lead the consulting, assessment, PoC and implementation engagements of Hybrid Cloud solutions
o Engage with customers and implementation teams around solving business and technical problems in the Hybrid Cloud ecosystem
o Provide technical oversight, review and quality control of artifacts throughout the project
o Contribute to the development of Hybrid Cloud standards, best practices and organisational capability
* In addition to the above mentioned responsibilities, the candidate should have an in-depth knowledge of how to and a solid work experience in the following:
o Ensure alignment with Enterprise Architecture fundamentals and compliance with the Enterprise Architecture guidelines and standards
o Interact and interface with external partners and Architecture Team to ensure the right architecture is achieved through collaboration
o Define domain specific principles, standards and guidelines
o Take responsibility for the Project Start Architecture or High-level solution direction
o Ensure that the architecture decisions are compliant with internal policies and regulatory requirements
* Understand the importance of architectural artifacts and ensure they are maintained in the shared platform such as Enterprise Architecture Repository
* Analyze the current ways of working and solution architecture to identify the gaps and suggest ways of improvements
* Engage with Sales and Pre-sales team helping them with technical design, bill of quantity, effort estimation and transformation approach around IAAS, PAAS and SAAS for RFPs

Job Requirements:
* 12+ years of relevant experience
* Flexible for short term business travels.
* Excellent written and verbal English for UK location
* Candidates applying outside UK should be fluent in speaking Swedish, French or German
* Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science or Electrical or Electronics field
* Certification in Azure or AWZ
* Professional experience in architecting largescale distributed systems
* Hands-on experience using compute, networking, storage and database services using Azure or AWS
* Implementation experience in elasticity and scalability concepts
* Understanding of network technologies as they relate to Hybrid Cloud
* A good understanding and implementation experience of all security features and tools that Azure, or AWS provides and how they relate to traditional services
* Hands-on experience with Azure or AWS deployment and management services, and as well as third part tools
* Hands-on experience in moving IaaS workloads using Re-hosting or Re-factoring migration approach
* Broad project lifecycle experience – especially in Enterprise environments
* Expert knowledge of Azure or AWS or Openstack platform features and capabilities
* Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, reverse proxies, routing, switching etc.)
* Security (firewall configuration, IPS/IDS etc.)
* Understanding of common application approaches and technologies (e.g. SOA, message queuing)
* Understanding of common database technologies (e.g. backup/restoration, replication/mirroring)
* Understanding of common internet technologies (e.g. e-mail, web servers, web services)
* Experience designing for disaster recovery, hybrid cloud storage, backup and archival
Preferred Requirements
* Master’s Degree in Business administration/Information Technology/Computer Science
* Advanced Cloud Architect Certification
* A strong understanding and experience of how to interact with hybrid cloud (SDK, APIs, Command Line Interface, Azure ARM or AWS CloudFormation)
* Experience in high available or distributed applications
* Experience in producing multi-tiered, load balanced, redundant application infrastructure architectures
* SAN and storage (RAID configuration, caching etc.)
* Experience using Azure ARM/Automation or AWS Cloud Formation or automated deployment/configuration tools (e.g. Chef/Puppet)
* Java SE & EE, including EJB3.x, Web services, JMS, including two or more different JMS implementations (e.g. WebSphereMQ / MQSeries, ActiveMQ, HornetQ, Oracle AQ, etc)
* Two or more Java EE Application Servers (JBoss AS, Glassfish, WebSphere, WebLogic)
* Familiarity with other cloud technologies
* Bash Shell Scripting in Linux/Unix, AWK
* Windows PowerShell
