Infrastructure Architect – Hybrid Cloud – Permanent

Infrastructure Architect / Cloud Architect required to lead the architect and design of solutions for IAAS / PaaS / SaaS on hybrid cloud platform.

As the Lead Infrastructure Architect / Cloud Architect, you will report to the Head of Infrastructure Architect and be responsible for the solutions, consulting and systems integration of Hybrid cloud transformation programmes.

In this role the Lead Infrastructure Architect / Cloud Architect will need to have a deep technical knowledge around the following technologies;

• Hybrid Cloud, Cloud management platform, vRealize, vCloudDirector
• Software Defined Datacentre on technologies like VMware SDDC, NSX, VSAN
• Microsoft SDI, System Centre Orchestrator, SCVMM
• Hyper-converged using (IBM / Cisco / DellEMC / Nutanix)
• Automation/scripting using PowerShell, JSON, Python
• Containers & Platform services using Docker or OpenShfit, Kubernetes
• Big Data, Cyber-Security and Digital workplace skills and experience.
• Any application hosting experience like HPC, SAP, IoT etc.,

As well as being hands-on technical the Lead Infrastructure Architect / Cloud Architect will also need to lead the design around Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure solutions including;

• Create documentation around the solution proposal, design and implementation
• Lead the consulting, assessment, PoC and implementation engagements of Hybrid Cloud solutions
• Engage with customers and implementation teams around solving business and technical problems in the Hybrid Cloud ecosystem
• Contribute to the development of Hybrid Cloud standards, best practices and organisational capability

Whilst a deep technical role this role will also include client facing meetings in which solutions are discussed and will also include the initial setup and deployment of new solutions to client.

Salary up to – £120,000 + 10% Bonus
