OpenShift Architect – PaaS Architect – Permanent

PaaS Architect / OpenShift Architect required to join a global consultancy on their Enterprise Platform Services team. To succeed in this role the PaaS Architect / OpenShift Architect will have a strong vision for embracing disrupting technologies specifically in the PaaS domains and should also have an application down approach to come up with strong solutions for customers.

In this role the PaaS Architect / OpenShift Architect will be responsible for;

• Architect, Design and implement enterprise PaaS solutions based on RedHat OpenShift on variety of IaaS platforms like AWS, Azure, VMware, OpenStack etc.
• Ability to design High available, multi cloud and split cluster based OpenShift environment.
• Must have strong experience in OCP (OpenShift), Redhat, Virtualisation, VMware etc.
• Should have technical experience in Java, and design and development knowledge of Micro services using any framework like Spring Boot, Nodes, etc.
• Lead migrations and assessment of applications of platforms written in different languages / technologies (Java, PHP, Python, Ruby, etc.) / WAS, WebLogic to Open source solution involving Docker or Kubernetes Frameworks
• Act as a SME primarily for OpenShift PaaS to propose and validate the solutions for customers.

Key skills and experience required for the successful PaaS Architect / OpenShift Architect include but are not limited to;

• Extensive experience in a customer-facing positions as a technology Consultant/Architect
• Experience architecting high traffic B2C, B2B websites.
• Excellent hands on experience on Docker in setting up and managing private Docker Trusted Registry (DTR) and of developing as well as maintaining Docker images / containers for different technology stacks.
• Create modern application platform automation solutions based around containers and container orchestration, using technologies like Red Hat Enterprise Linux Atomic Host, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Knowledge/experience in Containers (Docker, Swarm, Kubernetes)
• Must Have Hands on experience on OpenShift or Kubernetes set up installation & administration.
• Good exposure to DevOps principles, CI/CD, Continuous Deployment Pipelines using Jenkins.
