Platform Administrator

Platform Administrator – AWS – Contract | SW London | 6 months

We are currently looking for an Platform Administrator to work on an initial 6 month contract in South West London with a client of ours. For the Platform Administrator to be successful they must be well versed in AWS Architecture on EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM and Cloud Formation. The Platform Administrator will need to provide 3rd line support and architecture across the platform and have experience working on:

• Active Directory
• VMware, Citrix Xen, Hyper_V
• Windows Server, Unix/Linux servers, and LAN/WAN equipment in an enterprise production environment
• Microsoft Exchange Server experience
• Citrix Xenapp environment support
• Databases in the areas of MS Sql, Oracle, AWS RDS
• Scripting experience (VBS, Perl, Python, PowerShell, Bash, Ruby, bat)
• MS Office suite
• Mac Desktops, laptops & iPads
• ServiceNow
• Chef, Puppet, Ansible or any build automation deployment experience
• Experience with AWS and Azure

Soft skills:

• Able to work without supervision, combining initiative with discretion
• Able to communicate technical matters to technical and non-technical audiences
• Flexibility to work evening, weekend, and overnight shift
