System Engineer / Technical Architect (Nutanix Experience)

System Engineer / Technical Architect (Nutanix and Vblock experience) – Banking – Brussels

Rate:600 – 800

Length: 12 months

MUST HAVE: VBLOCK and Nutanix

The key profiles will be people with Vblock or Nutanix skills – Senior Systems Engineers and Technical Design Architects. Ideally with a financial services background.

• General Systems Engineering, planning, design, implementation, administration and troubleshooting

• Research vendor solutions and prepare Requests for Proposal as necessary

• Assist and work with others to troubleshoot production issues

• Liaison with application development teams

• Assist with implementations

• Assist with infrastructure architecture and sizing

• Maintain knowledge of current systems architecture and configuration

• Infrastructure and Operations documentation (as built, procedures, network)

• Experience with information security and data privacy. Any knowledge of GDPR and/or CSDR a plus.

Deep knowledge of one or more of the following: data centre architectures, cloud computing technologies, converged infrastructure consolidation, hyper-converged infrastructure, security, and service orchestration

For Vblock:

Strong hands-on experience in one or more of the following technologies. A broad spectrum of experience is highly desired, with a deep specialization in one or more:

• EMC VMAX storage technologies

• Cisco UCS B-Series blade and UCS C-Series rack-mount servers

• Cisco Nexus and MDS switches

• Ethernet, Fibre Channel, and NFS/CIFS networking experience

• Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere 6. x and/or Cisco networking is desirable.

• EMC Proven Professional Certification

• VMware Certified Professional

• Cisco Data Center Unified Computing Design Specialist

• Strong experience with competitive converged infrastructure stacks can replace some of the requirements above

Nutanix:

Any experience with Enterprise Cloud/Hybrid Cloud architectures a plus.7

• Nutanix Integrated Data Protection

Ideally should hold one of the following:

NUTANIX PLATFORM PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION

or

NUTANIX PLATFORM EXPERT CERTIFICATION
