Cloud Architect

Key responsibilities in this role will include (but not be limited to):

• Producing and feedback on others Infrastructure designs bearing in mind the end to end architecture of the clients and our objectives to be secure, scalable and reliable.
• Assist with the adoption and improvement of our SecDevOps pipelines and automation solutions including but not limited infrastructure security, automated provisioning, CI/CD pipeline.
• Work with developers and other architects to assess and accept (if appropriate) their infrastructure designs for implementation by the delivery team.
• Own and sign off of key infrastructure non-functional requirements (NFRs) such as latency, capacity and resiliency.
• Input into the design of key aspects of the platform such as operational support environments, identity and access management and key management.
• Support the client with other infrastructure aspects such as endpoints, office connectivity and server hardware.

What you’ll need

• 7+ years of infrastructure engineering experience as either a Systems Administrator or Network Architect.
• 4+ Experience of AWS Architecture and its application to Infrastructure design and support.
• Knowledge SecDevOps ways of working. Knowledge of tools that support application pipelines such as Sonatype and Checkmarx will be advantageous
• Deep knowledge of at least one Operating System and networking.
• Knowledge of cloud best practices for encryption, org structures, automation and CIS benchmarking
• Experience and skills on Containers, infrastructure design (networking, load balancing, CDN, middleware including but not limited to message queue – Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc), automation (Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, etc) and CI/CD Pipeline (Nexus).
• Solid experience and mindset on Cloud based security solution and architecture design and implementation.
• A strong technical background in infrastructure and cloud engineering
