My client is an incredibly innovative start-up, working on a brand-new product which will completely disrupt and transform the marketplace. THE ROLE

As a Cloud Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for developing capabilities in our clients platform in order to sustain a high-performance, reliable and scalable cloud-based architecture. You will work in the Platform Team supporting the application development teams by providing the technology, guidance around architecture and the cloud, and aiding those teams to develop effective build and deployment pipelines.

As with their application code, they are dependent on unit and integration tests to provide confidence that with each release the infrastructure will meet the highest quality standards. You must be conscious of business constraints around cost, security and performance in platform design. You will not be afraid to challenge ideas and opinions to avoid pitfalls and inefficient solutions.

THE MUST HAVE’s

• Be technically adept and have a deep hands-on knowledge of cloud-based architectures
• Understand and advocate for the DevOps mindset and practices
• Be highly motivated, driven and adaptable
• Have experience providing mentorship for team members
• Take pride in well-written, quality code
• Microsoft Azure
• C# / .NET
• Microservice architecture including monitoring of deployed services
• SQL and NoSQL databases
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery
• Cloud Cognitive Services and/or Machine Learning
• TDD
