Disaster Recovery Manager

City of London Contract / 6 Months £500 - £625 per day + Inside IR35

Our client, a world renowned manufacturing conglomerate, is looking to on-board a versatile and tenured Disaster Recovery Manager to lead their IT Resilience team.

The successful candidate is expected to be responsible for the growth and success the IT Disaster Recovery and Resilience team. See below for further deatils –

NOTE: This role is 40% ON-SITE, 60% REMOTE. MINIMUM 5 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN DISASTER RECOVERY.

Essential Criteria:

  • Have had at least 5 years of practical experience in implementing and assessing IT DR and IT Resilience architectural methodologies and tools within the FMCG / Manufacturing / Pharmaceuticals sectors.
  • Have a demonstrable, working knowledge of IT Resilience & IT DR Cloud concepts (AWS Associate and Professional certifications preferable).
  • Are able to fluidly execute workshops and challenge IT teams in discovering IT resilience practices within IT infrastructure and switch between hands-on project activities.
  • Experience leading leading the design and development of DR methodology, processes, concepts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the discovery and assessment of IT Disaster Recovery technologies across all IT platforms i.e. networks, storage, AWS, Factory comms rooms and On prem Data centres.
  • Lead the discovery and assessment of IT Resilience practices within technologies across all IT platforms i.e. Networks, storage, AWS, Factory comms rooms and On prem Data centres.
  • Participates in risk management analysis and assists with the reporting of Risks.
  • Use tooling to help track and review MI and manage responses.
  • Assess the results of IT DR & IT Resilience assessment findings ready for reporting.
  • Provides general support services for IT Resilience.
  • Post assessment conduct a review of Standards and procedures and highlight any new findings and gaps that should be included for future governance.
  • Act as a secondary facilitator for IT Resilience, IT DR and IT Backup & Restore exercises.​
  • Implementing BAU tools or documentation from the assessment findings for annual review and reporting.
