Network Engineer (FTC)

My global advertising company is looking for a Network Engineer. The Network Engineer is responsible for the technologies used in enterprise-wide connectivity, solutions include LAN, WAN, MPLS, SD-WAN, Cellular and various Telephony solutions.

The successful candidate will implement upgrades, security patches and IT network projects, seeing them through from planning, design to completion, as well as assisting with internal IT systems and projects.

What the day to day looks like…
Assists in the design, implementation, and documentation of:
* a complex global network infrastructure connecting on-premise systems, cloud services, corporate offices, and remote workers,
* a dynamic desktop and mobile computing environment,
* a VoIP telephony system (Cisco UC).
* Acts as a technical point-person for network related project initiatives as well as all operational network service delivery, for example: cloud-based computing initiatives, network availability, partner connectivity, carrier connectivity, root cause analysis, etc.

Bonus experience:
* 3+ years of progressive IT experience (does not have to be within Network environment),
* 2+ years of direct hands-on experience managing and configuring network equipment including but not limited to switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points,
* Experience with Juniper SRX routers and Cisco Catalyst switches,
* Juniper JNCIP or equivalent preferred but not mandatory.

Hands-on experience and/or capability working with the following technologies and skillsets:
* Local area network technologies (switching, routing, firewalls, wireless),
* Advanced network concepts (e.g. SD-WAN, network segmentation, VLANs, QoS),
* Hands on experience in configuring and troubleshooting Juniper devices,
* Thorough and demonstrable understanding of Juniper Enterprise SRX router environments including, deployment, administration and troubleshooting. Ideally to a JNCIP level,
* Platform focus: Juniper switches and routers,
* Network Access Control (RADIUS, 802.1X, Cisco ISE, etc.),
