1st Line Helpdesk Support – Kent

Kent Permanent £22000 - £25000 per annum + benefits

We are looking for a 1st Line Help desk Analyst to support over 400 + users across multiple sites for one of the largest privately owned suppliers for fresh produce providers in the UK. You will also be performing elements of 2nd line functions including network tasks, maintenance of systems and networks and offering advice on software and systems to ensure the IT service is consistent and adequately supported and the business continuity strategy is implemented.

Key skills:

  • IT Degree or equivalent
  • Experience with Active Directory, DNS & DHCP
  • Knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft Office Products
  • ITIL Foundation Certificate – Advantageous
  • Handling tickets on any system – Solarwinds
  • Face to face support
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong telephone manner
  • Must be able to drive on site

Responsibilities:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of IT software
  • Flexible attitude with strong customer focus
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a courteous manner with the ability to explain technical issues in non-technical language to customers
  • Ability to effectively prioritise workload
  • IT qualifications and customer service experience, preferably with regard to ITIL frameworks
  • A curiosity and keen interest about emerging technologies
  • An aptitude for problem solving and a proactive approach to identifying ways to improve the services provided within the IT Support team.
