Security Analyst

Role

In order to play a part in the improved maturity of the team, an experienced security analyst (with proven experience in similar position) is required to collaborate to our “change” road map. In your role of Third-Party Security Analyst, your key responsibilities are the following:

  • Design & documentation of an E2E process for managing external connections between Euroclear & its partners. Ensuring, amongst other,
    • The set-up & maintenance of an inventory of external connection means & The integration of automatic controls ensuring integrity & completeness of the inventory;
    • The onboarding of new connections in the respect of Euroclear Security framework
    • The onboarding of external applications of our partners in the respect of Euroclear Security framework
  • Translate security controls into actionable requirements. Amongst other,
    • Write business & functional requirements for implementation of threat detection & response scenarios. Coordinate the implementation of this control plan (with various Business, IT & Security stakeholders).
    • Establish SOPs, guidelines & template, supporting material for the setup of new connections.
  • Write business requirements, basis for the implementation of a solution to support the third party security activity in its day to day. Amongst other, this solution must permit to:
    • Assess external third parties (i.e. sending questionnaires, automatically compute scoring, store past assessments)
    • For any risks discovered, inventories & track the status of risk remediation plan
    • Automatically generate the KRI & KPI of the third party security activity
    • Receive requests from our internal stakeholders and follow it up through dedicated workflows.
  • For the different analysis you’ll conduct, you’ll
    • Gather information from a large group of IT & Business stakeholders.
    • Present the outcome of your analysis to those stakeholders in a clear & assertive manner.

Technical & Functional skills

  • Education: Bachelor/Master’s degree (Computer Science, Information Security or Business Science).
  • The candidate shall demonstrate previous practical experience (at least 4 years) in the following activities:
    • IT & Business Process design (incl. BPMN);
    • Elaboration of Business & Functional security requirements;
  • Past experience in the following activities is a plus:
    • Design of a control plan applied on external connectivity threats;
    • Definition & maintenance of technical inventory
    • Collaboration to the design of a CMDB.
  • The candidate shall demonstrate practical knowledge on the way to secure a connection between an internal network & the Internet (i.e., usage of bastion host, network zoning, firewall …).
  • Knowledge of the below solution as well as a previous practical experience with at least one of the below tools is mandatory.
    • ServiceNow (especially CMDB, IRM & ITSM modules).
    • Splunk
  • Knowledge and/or experience of financial services
  • Broad knowledge of Information Security & IT security is mandatory. Relevant Information security certifications (i.e., ISO 27000 lead implementer, CISM, CISSP…) and/or governance certifications (Cobit, ITIL) is a plus.
  • Languages: English (Fluent), Being fluent in French and/or Dutch is a plus.

Soft skills: A major part of the role involves interactions with IT & Business stakeholders. You’ll be required to gather information, translate information, present your opinion. For this reason, the ability to demonstrate strong soft skills is a determining factor.

  • You can translate complex topics in a clear, comprehensive communication to broad audience.
  • You have excellent analytically and synthesis skills.
  • You have excellent stake-holder management skills, and you can communicate at various seniority levels including Senior Management and technical experts.
  • You like working with different people and have strong oral and written communication skills.
  • You are accurate, timely and able to organise yourself independently. You have strong attention to details.
  • You like to work in team, to coordinate and you can adapt your approach depending on your counterpart
