Business Intelligence Associate

You will be joining a start up company within a creative and dynamic environment with the core business focusing on delivering premium quality and personalised stationary and invitations. They are looking for an experienced Business Intelligence Associate – preferably from a retail/b2c/e-commerce/consumer background to join the team as an integral part of their growth and plans for the future. You will, have a passion for not only delivering information but also have an intuitive feel for the business operations and solutions for future strategies and plans and will be working with and reporting directly to the COO and CEO.

Key responsibilities are to:

• Design and deliver reports for different functions within the business (commercial, marketing, operations, creative and outsourced finance) in order to monitor performance and generate insight

• Provide analytic support to all teams to help with business strategy based on data-driven insight (e.g. customer lifetime value, CPA, product performance)

• Be the primary point of contact for outsourced bookkeeping team and co-ordinate information provision for financial reporting

• Prepare financial forecasts, including working with the CEO / COO to in order to develop the annual Budget and 5-year plan

• Create any financial and analytic information required by the CEO for regular Board reporting

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience in a Business Intelligence or similar role
• Exposure using Excel, Tableau and SQL

• Core competence in financial/commercial analysis and decision making, modelling, financial planning and forecasting techniques

• Strong written/verbal communication skills to interface with leadership and commercial teams

• Desire to work in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment

• Intuitive, data-driven mind-set

• Proven ability to solve problems and develop / maintain reporting processes
