My client is Urgently seeking a strong Data Engineer (Risk, SQL, SSIS, R, .NET, C#) to join their London based offices within a driven, ambitious and fast paced team. My client are proud of their product which provides employee benefit solutions.

The ideal Data Engineer (Risk, SQL, SSIS, R, .NET, C#) will be of exceptional standard and attention to detail. You will be apart of a growing Technology Team and report in to the Head of Technology. With a huge range of projects to work on, both Greenfield and Brownfield, you will have your hands full and mind stimulated throughout your time with my client.

The successful Data Engineer (Risk, SQL, SSIS, R, .NET, C#) will be one from Software Development Background with a eye for Data and passionate about business which will deliver solutions to make people lives a lot easier. Working in this team there will be great exposure across the business as you will need to liaise with Decision Science, Risk and Finance Teams.

Nice to Have

  • You have experience owning data in financial services, preferably retail lending.
  • You have experience working in an agile environment with Scrum Masters and Product Managers.
  • You have an understanding of risk modelling and credit risk.
  • You have a degree in computer science or related field or a combination of related experience and education.

Technical Experience Required

  • Advanced Microsoft SQL Server management experience
  • Advanced Transact-SQL skills
  • Advanced SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) skills
  • R statistical language skills
  • Microsoft .Net Framework understanding and hands-on experience
  • VB.Net
  • C#.Net
  • ASP.Net
  • Net WebAPI

Responsibilities

  • Address the data needs and requirements of the business.
  • Design and implement a data architecture strategy for the business.
  • Audit the data landscape to create, rework, extend, and refine the current data model.
  • Ensure a high-level of data quality and data governance across all business systems.
  • Work closely with our Technology Team to implement new features, changes, improvements, and complete systems.
  • Work with the scrum teams to make sure data from our on-premise, cloud and third party systems is appropriate, secure, controlled, and available.
