Data Analyst

3 months – Inside IR35 – Mostly remote occasional office visits for meetings

My client is a leader in the communication industry and they are looking to recruit a Data Analyst to work on a 3 month contract with their Emergency Services and commercial Network team.

Your role is to work with external and internal stakeholders to deliver the analytics and intelligence to guide the focus areas of network investment and improvement. You will work with subject matter experts in RAN and Emergency Service Networks to turn concepts into proof of concept studies.

What you will do:

• Working with peers to define, produce & implement improved RAN & E2E analytics to support design, deployment and operations processes.
• Implement improved ESN analytics either working with Data scientist community or directly programming capability onto analytics platforms.
• Leverage greater use of analysis automation, big data functionality, new tooling and latest analytic methods into BAU processes and network deep dive analysis.
• Gather analytics requirements from the wider RAN Design & Performance team + peer network teams and investigate/propose & drive implementation.
• Liaise with/into Tools forums/architecture teams to ensure key RAN Design & Performance requirements for development are captured.
• Perform In depth analysis of ESN & End User experience KPI trends, failure causes & trace protocols to identify key End to End Service problems & improvement opportunities.

Experience required:

• Strong data analytics experience
• Data manipulation/visualisation using Python & R coding, MS Excel, QGIS/Mapinfo, GCP/Big Query, QlikView/QlikSense.
• Familiarity/experience with databases, Access, SQL
• Experience of data input/output to HaaS & Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong skills in building the case for change, drawing on data and analytical techniques where appropriate, and communicating this to technical & business audiences.
• Ability to convert highly technical concepts into simple to understand language.

Prefered Experience:

• Knowledge of 4G Mobile networks (and ideally Mission Critical 4G networks).
