Data Modeler

6 months – Inside IR35 – 2 days in the office per month (London)

We are seeking a data modeler preferably with Insurance and particularly IFRS17 experience. The right candidate will be comfortable with modeling financial and/or actuarial data, working in a fast-paced team with high-level designers, business SMEs and technical developers. The data modeler will help define the detailed design and modeling specifications for consumption by developers and will work closely with business and technical leads to understand requirements.

• Breakdown functional requirements, expand data models and data designs to provide data processing (ETL) specifications
• Own end-to-end source to target mapping in line with design and requirements, working alongside business and data analysts
• Expand the high-level design to meet business needs, reflect data analysis conducted and set out transitions to move towards end state architecture
• Develop and enhance business and logical data models in line with new and updated requirements
• Define data flows to support data models and designs, meeting requirements
• Enhance data models, flows and designs, and assure build meets stated design
• Ensure data models, flows and data designs developed meet appropriate standards and principles
• Ensure all data models, flows and designs are documented, communicated, updated and centrally managed in an appropriate manner
• Use data model and designs in interactions with wider delivery team, business SMEs and stakeholders, on a day-to-day basis

What we’re looking for:

• An experienced Data Modeller with strong data analysis experience and expertise
• Experienced in Modern cloud-based data architecture
• Delivered Data Warehousing/Analytic end to end data designs
• Expertise in Data Modelling, including Conceptual, Logical and Physical modelling
• Experienced in different modelling methodologies
• Self-driven and constantly striving to improve how we deliver, supporting clients and customers
• Financial Services experience, especially in the Insurance sector for Back-office (actuarial and accounting) and regulatory compliance.

• Ideally IFRS 17 experience
